Introducing creative writing contests can be a lucrative but addictive pastime for many writers who are stimulated by the challenge of confronting their wits against those of other dedicated writers. There are many creative writing competitions and analysis available through any writing journal will highlight some, but for a more detailed search, simply type in creative writing competitions on a search engine like Google or Yahoo, and a wide range of results appear.
