A few years ago can friend told me about the poetry contest. I'm not much of a writer, but I tried in any way. A couple months later I was told I was a finalist in the competition. They told me I had to buy my own hotel, airline tickets and rental cars to go to the contest. Well, I had the money I had taken my poem to a college professor and he said he was in desperate need of editing, grammar and many spelling errors, and that when I read in the forums I found out it was all a scam. Later, then sent me a letter if I would like a plaque and a book of sixty dollars per win not even a contest going. My friend almost the same time has the same letters. Some of these companies offer to put you poem in a book and a website to write so "OK." People are lead on the site of poetry when spoken about how good the poem. So remember no matter anywhere website says, you need to research. I am currently writing an e-book on how to identify a scam. It develops a process that is certain of the identity, even the most delicate and no scams concern that will be free.
